Screen time management is an important aspect of parenting in the digital age. Excessive screen time can have negative effects on children’s physical health, mental well-being- and overall development. Statistics have shown that the average child, if not monitored will spend up to eight hours on their devices while the recommended time is 2 hours. Parents need to create a balance between their child’s screen and lean time. Screen time management is important as it protects them from perpetrators and other predators online as well as helps them to remain academically.
