Sonsie X is inspired by her experiences as she aspires for greatness. Sonsie X migrated to the United States at a young age but has always kept her roots alive by writing and performing Jamaican dub pieces across the USA. Her ability to hone multiple talents and excel at each craft effectively, particularly the art dub poet, entrepreneur, nurse and mother Sonsie X has cracked the algorithm. Today she takes the spotlight in our women’s month ‘Her Rise’ feature to share her story about being a successful black woman in what could be considered a conservative state.
