Carletta Figaro is a domestic violence survivor, advocate and mentor. She attained professional training for the Hope for Women project in Trinidad and Tobago, by working directly with victims of abuse in a bid to direct them to a part of sur-thrival. This concept was designed to educate the public and to raise awareness about the negative effects of gender based violence by putting the spotlight on the outcome of domestic violence with the hope of shocking people to the reality of this worldwide epidemic.
