Since 2007, Jamaican Director and Cinematographer Kyle Chin has been employed in the film industry. The British Film Institute (England), Brooklyn Film Festival (USA), World Cinema (Amsterdam), Trinidad and Tobago International Film Festival, and the New Art Exchange (Nottingham) have all screened his most well known movie ‘Sunday’ (2010) as a part of the Ring Di Alarm segment. ‘Off Guard’ and ‘Mango Wars’, two award-winning short films that Kyle created in 2017, are now available on paid web platforms. The Financial Investigations Division (FID) hired him in 2021 to write and direct “Ea$y Go,” a short film that serves as a cautionary tale about money laundering. His most recent projects include the ‘Exodus: The Bob Marley Story’ film and ‘Jhana Johnson Reporting’ which won the Greater August Town Film Festival (GATFFEST) pitch competition.
