The Eternal Father Awards were established in 2022 by television presenter Anna Smith as an exhilarating and esteemed yearly award ceremony that aims to transform the generally negative perception of fathers in Jamaica by highlighting the best male parental roles in our nation. The Awards were designed with a national audience in mind, and as a result, the name was drawn from the national anthem with a keen awareness of how underpaid and unacknowledged great fathers are for being a crucial, “eternal,” and uplifting presence in their children’s life.
