Toshami Calvin was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2022 at the AC Hotel in Kingston on Saturday, September 3. Calvin, who wore the sash Giajay Naturals Gift and Body Shop, won the pageant from a talented and confident pool of twenty (20) young females. She credits the pageant for building her confidence and describes her experience as amazing. She explained that she went blank for a second when her name was announced as she was surprised. She further stated that the journey in the pageant has been interesting and fun.

Calvin is the cousin of 2019 Miss Jamaica World and Miss World title holder Toni-Ann Singh. She hails from St Thomas. She attended St Thomas Technical High before pursuing an Associate’s degree and a Master’s degree in Health Studies, with a minor in Health Service Administration, from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
She currently works as a registered behavioural technician with autistic children.
