Sickle–cell leg ulcers (SCLUs) are a frequent complication of sickle–cell disease (SCD) and it can be extremely painful! Sickle cell leg ulcers are among the most difficult to heal of all wound types.
There is a dressings trial, a collaborative effort between the UHWI surgical and quality control teams, UWI School of Nursing, and the Benskin Research Team.
