Transformation Strategy: Estonia’s Journey to Digital Advancement

Senator the Hon. Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, Minister without Portfolio, and Siim Sikkut, CIO (Chief Information Officer) of Estonia speak on the digital transformation strategy of Estonia and how other countries can follow through Estonia’s lead. In the interview Hon. Dixon and Sikkut explored how Estonia successfully executed its digital transformation agenda, and transformed into one of the world’s most digitally advanced societies.

Siim Sikkut led the digital government and digital policy area in the Government of Estonia for 10 years, most recently as the Government CIO from 2017 to 2022. His job was to set the strategy and policies, to launch and steer key initiatives and regulation in areas of digital government, cyber security, and connectivity in the country. Dr. Dixon is fiercely committed to the advancement of women as senior executives, on boards, and in politics, and has served on numerous boards and committees. Given her passion for education, she served on the Jamaica Education Transformation Commission, and she also serves on the Archdiocese of Kingston Education Commission.
