Kidney stones can be triggered by factors such as diet, excessive body weight, specific medical conditions, as well as the usage of certain supplements and medications. These stones have the potential to impact any segment of your urinary tract, spanning from your kidneys to your bladder. The genesis of these stones often occurs when urine attains a higher concentration, which leads to the crystallization and amalgamation of minerals.

Generally, the presence of a kidney stone may remain asymptomatic until it begins to shift within the kidney or passes into one of the connecting tubes called ureters, which link the kidneys and bladder. Dr. Jeremy Thomas, a urologist, delves deeper into this topic on the Sunrise Show.
