We often talk about crime and the bad it does for the country, we don’t often talk about the flip side, safety and how our country will be better for it. The Global Peace Index show the most and least peaceful country and from first glance you can see that the most peaceful countries are the most literate and wealthy of nations so today we ask, what would being safe mean for Jamaica? We are joined by Daniel Wong, Justice of the Peace and Benyamin Cooke, Youth Advocate to help with the discussion.
Discussion points:
- What does a safe Jamaica look like to you?
- What areas of culture/society would need to change to achieve this?
- Where would we see the most growth as a safe country?
- What can we take from the safest countries in the world and apply it here to reach our goal?
