It is Recycling Week, and Recycling Partners of Jamaica (RPJ) is celebrating with their ‘Winning with Recycling’ theme, emphasizing the benefits of recycling plastic bottles. In the long term, recycling can be profitable, with RPJ paying $50 per kilogram through their Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). You can register easily on their website, www.recyclingja.com, to become a recycler. Just like a clean home, recycling makes us feel good about our surroundings. Let us make small changes, like using recycling bins for plastic bottles, to create a cleaner Jamaica! Marketing and Public Relations Manager, Candice Ming and Kimeesha Campbell–Douglas, Marketing Officer discussed the weeklong campaign aimed at encouraging Jamaicans to recycle.
