“It takes a village to raise a child” is an African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.
However, Families want the best for their children, to nurture their mental, and physical growth. Families with children who have special needs want the same for their children, but often face additional challenges, including great stress, social isolation, and financial strain.
The focus for today’s Woman’s World is on the importance of family support. It is important to surround ourselves with family and friends for support and comfort in both times of joy and distress. But are we practicing that today? Does the village still play an important role in the development of our children?
