A safe and healthy working environment is a fundamental right the Jamaica Occupational Health and Safety Professionals Association is calling on legislators to enact the Occupational Safety and Health legislation which was introduced more than two decades ago. A legal framework that promotes a safe and healthy working environment is beneficial to protecting employees and supporting our national developmental goals, as outlined in Vision 2030. President of the Jamaica Occupational Health and Safety Professionals Association (JOHSPA), Dr. Yohann White and Communication and Public Relations Officer, Khadrea Folkes joined us on Sunrise to help us understand the fundamental principles of a safe work environment.
