Reshaping the Maxfield community is the mission that the Maxfield Avenue Church of God (Seventh Day) is on in the crime and violence plagued environment. Though many see the community as a dangerous place without any hope for redemption the church sees it differently. The Church views the area as an opportunity to save and change lives for the better. Come Saturday, December 3, the church will host its ‘Youth Sabbath’ which will focus on reaching the youths in the community. With this, they aim to push the crime rate lower in hope of a better Jamaica.
