Today we are taking you inside the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre for the official 2022 Kingston and St Andrew Festival Queen sashing ceremony.
The annual event which has remained a staple in the independence roster for over five decades took place on Thursday, May 19, 2022 under the theme: “Re-Igniting the Jamaican Women” and introduced the twelve beautiful contestants from across the island who will be vying for the title of Miss Jamaica Festival Queen.
Interim Executive Director of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission, talks to us about the preparations leading up to the competition.
Co-master of the event and none other than Miss Jamaica Festival Queen 2021, also popped in to share her thoughts on this year’s staging.
