50 New Garbage Trucks Delivered To Jamaica

The trucks are here! Executive Director of the National Solid Waste Management Authority Audley Gordon says he is excited about the arrival of the fifty new garbage trucks. He adds, Jamaicans can expect the trucks to officially be in service by December 1, when the government hands them over to the organization.

Noting they are duly prepared to execute tasks, as they have already been anticipating the truck’s delivery. As Gordon lauds the government for their assistance, he says plans are already underway for additional garbage trucks to be donated. 

Noting Jamaican’s patience, he says the organization is looking forward to improving their services to benefit citizens. The country has been grappling with garbage collection problems for some time, which has sparked demonstrations in some areas.
