Accountability Needed: Windsor Park Residents Needs Dumping And Security
An area in the Windsor Park community in St.Catherine is being used as a dumping site by persons from surrounding communities as persons travel from neighboring parishes to leave their junk in the area.
When CVM LIVE visited the community residents explained the situation is overbearing as they are left to deal with the stench coming from the garbage and dead animals dumped in the area.
For them, the act is a blatant disregard for persons living in the community.
This is the only road used to enter and leave the community, therefore there is no escape from the sight of the debris and the unpleasant smell.
There is also a security threat, according to the residents, the area creates a haven for criminals who often rob persons of their valuables.
Peoples’ National Party representative for south-central St. Catherine, Kurt Matthews says lack of representation contributes to the ongoing dumping in the community.
The residents want the practice to end and persons to be held accountable.
