Mayor of Mandeville Donovan Mitchell Resigns

Donovan Mitchell, JP and Chairman of the Manchester Municipal Corporation (Mayor) since 2016, sent a letter earlier today which was addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of the Manchester Municipal Corporation, Mr. Winston Palmer informing him of his resignation.

Mr. Mitchell expressed in his letter that the Members of the Council have lost confidence in his ability to function in the capacity in which he was elected to work.

In closing, he said that he will continue in the role of councilor for the Royal Flat Divison until the upcoming elections.
