Corporal Rohan Smith, is the Lasco/Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Top Hero. Corporal Smith is elated following the announcement made at the Lasco/Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) Chairman’s Top Awardee at the LASCO/JCF Saluting Our Heroes and Chairman’s Award luncheon on Friday, held at the AC Hotel in Kingston.
Corporal Smith was the recipient of the Chairman’s Trophy along with a handsome cash prize of $150,000. Female Sergeant Alsian Clayton, who serves within the Westmoreland Division was the first runner-up, awarded with one hundred thousand dollars while District Constable Alfred Palmer from the Area 4 Community Safety and Security was the second runner-up awarded with seventy-five thousand dollars.
Corporal Smith who hails from New Savannah, New Market in St. Elizabeth has been serving in the Jamaica Constabulary Force since 2014.
Lasco’s Chairman the Honourable Lascelles Chin, also used the special occasion to thank the Jamaica Constabulary Force for their continued dedication and protection of the nation. He also congratulated the one hundred and fifty-five top performing service men and women who were selected for the LASCO/JCF Saluting Our Heroes and Chairman’s Award in special recognition of the JCF’s 155th Anniversary this year.
