The Supreme Court has dismissed Prime Minister Andrew Holness&rsquo; application to strike portions of an affidavit submitted by a senior Integrity Commission official in a lawsuit he filed against the anti-corruption body.
Holness had argued that certain sections of the affidavit were inappropriate and should be excluded from the court's consideration. However, the judge found no legal basis for their removal.
The court granted the Prime Minister leave to appeal the decision and ordered a stay of proceedings until the appeal is heard.
The lawsuit forms part of an ongoing legal dispute between the Prime Minister and the Integrity Commission, which has been investigating matters involving public officials.
