Concern over COVID-19 Transmission Is Now Island-Wide

COVID-19 Update: Over the next 6-8 weeks, there’s likely to be a sharp increase in the number of cases reported.

Dr. Tufton says the health team has already begun to examine the protocols with a view to updating them.
This is in addition to an increase in stay at home orders for the elderly, emphasis on work from home orders for the private and public sector and restrictions on public gatherings.

Meanwhile, a majority of new cases are coming from Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, St. Thomas and Clarendon.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness maintains that there is no need for panic.
