The appalling reality of social and economic disparity between Jamaicans has been laid bare by the impact of COVID-19. However, some thought leaders are suggesting that an opportunity for economic restructuring and social re-engineering presents itself as a result of the pandemic. They believe social consensus on several key approaches to the future could contribute to a better, more equitable Jamaica
To explore these ideas we are joined by Maziki Thame, Associate Professor of political science at Clark Atlanta University, Georgia, USA. She also worked several years at the department of government and the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies at the University the West Indies and Professor Rosalea Hamilton, CEO of the Lasco Chin Foundation and founding director of the institute of law & economics.
