With thousands of persons deported to Jamaica every year, the need to have proper mechanisms to accommodate and integrate individuals into the socio-economic fabric of Jamaica is acute.
Despite efforts on governmental and non-governmental agencies to ease the transition, questions are being asked about the scope and effectiveness of the programs.
To discuss the issues surrounding the return of involuntary migrants we are joined by Yvonne Mclymont Grant Co- Founder and Director Open Arms Development Centre, who was recently awarded by the Queen for work done on national Organization of Deported Migrants and Dr. Kadamawe Knife Lecturer University of the West Indies, who conducted research on the subject.
