Has Crime Been Reduced As A Result Of Intervention Programmes?

As the government bids farewell to the 17 year old Peace Management Initiative (PMI) that had engaged in over 40 volatile communities across the island, questions are being asked about what form of social intervention projects will take the place of the PMI as National Security Minister Dr Horace Chang stated that the current mechanism of social intervention is not working.

Is enough money and manpower being applied to social intervention, has crime been reduced as a result of intervention programmes?

And the impact of state states of emergency and zones of special operations?
