The tragedy on the nation’s roads runs unabated, another collision on Thursday, claimed the life of a motorist on the PJ Patterson Highway. This latest casualty now adds to over 430 recorded fatal accidents since the start of the year. This latest incident, serves only as a grim reminder, around road fatality projections going into the Christmas season.
Head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, ACP Gary Mckenzie says the mysterious nature of accidents along the highway stems from failure to observe the speed limit.
Acp Mckenzie further notes two motor vehicles traveling along the thoroughfare to Spanish Town collided then overturned. Investigations are currently ongoing.
