In celebration of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s 155 years of service, the St. Ann police came together recently to honor some of their own. Speaking with our news team, Head of the St. Ann Police Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell says he is glad to be part of the profession.
He notes his team is driven, hardworking and committed to the protection of civilians. Senior Superintendent Powell says they are also working assiduously to manage crime in the parish. However, the officer says there is also been an increase in road fatalities.
Senior Superintendent Powell says this is a major concern since the parish boasts some of the best roads. He says reckless driving is causing most fatal accidents.
