Speaking recently at a commissioning ceremony in St. Ann for Justices of the Peace (JP), Justice Minister Delroy Chuck stressed the importance of allowing peace to chart the way forward to maintain law and order in the nation.
Minister Chuck alluded to the historical duties of JP’s dating back to ancient England. The Justice Minister says it is incumbent on all Justices of the Peace’s to be solution-oriented and have a high moral ground.
Adding that it takes a unanimous effort to combat wrong doers, Minister Chuck says disciplinary actions must be heavily enforced on persons who disregard the law.
