The United States’ national, Kalina Collier who visited Jamaica and made claims of being taken hostage, has been fired from her job at JetBlue Airways.
In a statement issued earlier today, the airline issued an apology to the Jamaican Government and to Jamaicans for the incident. Further stating that Collier had been suspended while investigations into her allegations were being conducted.
The stewardess made allegations that she was being held hostage by “wicked people”, while at the Ocean Coral Spring All-inclusive Hotel in Trelawny.
Collier visited Jamaica in late January with expectations of leaving in early February. However, after the administering of an antigen test, she was confirmed to be positive for COVID-19.
