“Mccook must go” was the chant Friday morning, from residents of Kitson Town in St. Catherine, as they demanded a new Councillor.
With placards, angry chants and threats to withhold their votes in the upcoming elections, the residents of Kitson Town, St. Catherine on Friday protested the alleged poor performance of their Councillor Keith Mccook.
McCook has served the Red Hills Division for eleven years, however, the residents told our news team that he is been doing a poor job since the beginning.
They say they can no longer tolerate the councilor’s lack of interest in the people and community. They are consequently demanding a resignation. The residents say while the Member of Parliament, Dr. Christopher Tufton is pulling his weight, Councillor Mccook shouldn’t be allowed to escape his responsibilities.
They are threatening to lead as many demonstrations as it will take to force him out.
