Ne-Sean Blair did not foresee a short stop at a local shop in New Hall, Manchester would land him in the hospital battling for his life.

On his 16th birthday while passing a nearby shop his cousin invited him for juice, but moments later gunmen targeting another person in the shop opened fire sending the occupants scampering.

As the persons fled, gunshots rang out in the direction where Blair ran. When residents went to investigate the teen was hit in the back, by a single bullet.

A single bullet lodged itself in Blair’s neck. rippled from the neck down, he is forced to remain on his back until and if surgery becomes a reality soon.

Surgery, his mother Kedine Blair says is best accessed overseas if he is to hope to walk or resume a normal life. The mother of three says each trip to the hospital is a harsh reminder that her son could have died that night.

She says each trip from Manchester to Kingston to see her injured son, gets harder as his faith and strength wanes.

Mrs Blair is imploring anyone with the resources who can help her first born to help by making a donation for his airlift and treatment in the United States.
