17 Y-O Burn Victim to Leave Jamaica Tomorrow

17 Year old Alecia King is poised to embark on a journey of healing. Despite the unimaginable pain she endured, sustained from a horrifying attack by her ex-boyfriend, a beacon of hope shines as she prepares to leave the island for specialized treatment at a renowned burn center in North America.

The attack, which occurred while she was sleeping early Thursday morning, left Alecia with severe burns covering an astonishing 60 percent of her body. The sheer brutality of the incident has left the community shocked and horrified, yet also determined to rally around Alecia as she faces this monumental challenge. The relatives are happy that things are moving apace now with the required medical documents in hand. Watch the report:
