Jamaicans are being warned to brace for what’s expected to become the most active and dangerous Atlantic hurricane season in recent years. The predictions follow a most aggressive season last year which saw the country reeling from the effects of heavy rainfall and landslides brought on by the season.
Local Government Minister, Desmond Mckenzie says plans are in motion to ensure shelters are fully equipped and COVID-19 compliant as the country braces for the season which runs from June 1 to November 30.
