Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) is reporting that preparations for data collection on the 2022 population and housing census are underway. The COVID-19 pandemic had delayed the 10-year data collection which was to be carried out in 2021.
STATIN’s Director-General provided the updates urging a recent quarterly briefing. The screening will begin in western parishes and then move to northern and central parishes. Director-General Carol Coy, STATIN says the next two weeks will prove critical for their preparation and training of the new recruits. More details in the report:
