In St James, three additional murders were recorded over the weekend; in the first incident, a man was gunned down on the Lilliput main road by unknown assailants, while in the other incident gunmen opened fire killing two people involving a teen at a bar also in Lilliput.
The first murder on the lilliput main road claimed the life of 31-year-old laborer Akash Campbell. Reports from the police are that a car stopped behind his vehicle. A man emerged from the car and shot Campbell multiple times. He was rushed to the Hospital in Falmouth, where he was pronounced dead.
The double murder happened on Saturday close to 9 pm at Sam’s pub. 34-year-old farmer Leroy Service and 17-year-old Rashid Stewart were shot by two men armed with handguns.
Councillor for the Rose Hill Division, Anthony Murray is appealing to the residents and police for swift action to find the killers. Mr Murray is calling for peace.
