43 Wards of the State Awarded For Excelling In CXC & CAPE

43 children in state care were today recognized by the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, CPFSA, for their achievements in the 2021 Caribbean Examinations Council 2021. 

A total of 177 children from state care were registered for secondary exams last year, CSEC, CAPE and other vocational exams. 38 students for CSEC and 5 CAPE students attained passes in four or more subjects.

Annually the CPFSA spends in excess of forty-million dollars in tuition and examination fees for children enrolled in primary and tertiary institutions. Speaking at the 10th staging of the CPFSA’s educational achievement awards Friday, Education Minister Fayval Williams encouraged the continued success of awardees.

Recipients received plaques and laptops to assist with their learning. While commending the awardees, Chief Executive Officer of the CPFSA Rosalee Gage-Grey notes that navigating online learning was not an easy task. There Were Seven Special Awards For The Top Boys And Top Girls Across The Ministry Of Education‘s Four Regions.
