In a heart-wrenching incident, a six-year-old boy lost his life after being shot during an attempted robbery in the Duhaney Park area of Kingston. The tragic event unfolded around 8 o’clock as the child and his father were leaving their home, marking a somber day for the community and the nation as a whole. According to the preliminary report by the police, the father, whose identity remains undisclosed at this time, was driving his vehicle with his son on board when three armed men in a white Toyota Probox attempted to intercept them. In a courageous effort to protect his child, the father skillfully maneuvered his vehicle to evade the assailants. However, the situation escalated tragically when the attackers opened fire on the vehicle.
The father, miraculously unharmed, sped away from the scene, only to realize moments later that his young son had been struck by a bullet, reportedly in the head. In a state of panic, he rushed his injured child to the Kingston Public Hospital, desperately seeking medical assistance. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the young boy succumbed to his grievous injuries. The local authorities have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, vowing to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
