The Ministry of Agriculture has allocated 63 million dollars to assist farmers in South Manchester, St. Elizabeth, and St. Ann who have suffered significant damage due to heavy rainfall. This financial support aims to alleviate their losses and provide necessary relief. Additionally, farmers in the bread basket parish of St. Elizabeth, who have been facing challenges, have voiced their need for assistance, highlighting the urgency of aid in their region.

Tomato, scallion, and melon were among the crops severely affected. Irrigation systems and pipes were also destroyed.
