Eight-year-old Thomas ‘Angola’ James Jr was fatally shot leaving his father in critical condition; the shooting took place in Hayles Field, Clarendon around 7:45, when Thomas and his parents were inside a shop they operate at their home. Reports are that a man entered the shop and ordered a cigarette before opening gunfire hitting Thomas in the head and his father in his upper body; the culprit escaped on foot.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the child was pronounced dead and his father was admitted in critical condition. Shortly after the incident, our news team spoke with Inspector Dorothy Thomas of the Clarendon Police Division. Despite recent news that major crimes are down, the bloodletting across the country continues.
