Ninety-seven per cent of 181 police officers on Thursday voted to accept the government’s offer mere days before the wage deal expires. The acceptance comes after months of resisting the wage deal leaving many stakeholders concerned.
The Chairman further notes retroactive payments are expected for police officers as well as increased salaries received by other groups. The Police Officers’ Association is expected to sign very soon.
