Almost 300 Gas Cylinders Seized in Portmore Raid

In a significant operation this morning, authorities in Portmore, St. Catherine seized almost 300 gas cylinders from a dispensary masquerading as other brands. The police, awaiting legal documentation for the compound’s operations, discovered cylinders labeled with various petroleum brands, sparking concerns over misrepresentation. Acting on gathered intelligence, St. Catherine South Division Operations Officer Superintendent Hopeton Nicholson confirmed the seizure but noted the business operator had not contacted the police. The raid raises questions about the company’s operational status, necessitating further investigation. This marks a recurrence, with sources revealing a former PetroJam and PetCom employee’s involvement and their reluctance to comply with police orders.
