One Western Jamaica Anglican Reverend is this urging religious leaders to lead from the front in the vaccination effort. This as the clergyman says the recent push by the church in Westmoreland to assist with counseling and social intervention revealed many church leaders were unvaccinated.
The Anglican Reverend, Canon Hartley Perrin says it is imperative for religious leaders to inspire leadership by showing their congregations the vaccines are safe. He says it is unclear why some church leaders remain skeptical of the vaccines despite the data and the rising deaths to the virus. He is urging wisdom as the country tackles the third wave of the coronavirus. He is urging all religious ministers irrespective of their denomination to get vaccinated, mobilize themselves and be ambassadors for those in their congregation and a part of heir communities.
