A couple was shot dead in Seaforth St. Thomas on Saturday night; this follows another double murder that occurred on Friday in the Parish.
Local representatives are imploring residents to work with the police in order to put a stop to the killings. 40-year-old taxi operator and businessman Jermaine Jeffery and his partner, 50-year-old shop operator Andrea Bell, were gunned down along the Seaforth main road.
Police reports are that minutes past 10, Jeffery drove his Subaru motorcar to the location to pick up Bell. While they were inside the vehicle, a lone gunman who was reportedly hiding behind a nearby wall, shot them several times.
Both victims are from Soho Hill in the parish.
Councillor for the Seaforth Division, Joan Spencer says she’s frustrated with the bloodletting and is pleading with residents to work with the police to bring the crime under control. Watch the report below:
