ARC Properties Limited is the first private sector entity to join forces with the government’s social housing program; they inked the deal with the Government of Jamaica on Tuesday.
Keynote speaker at an MoU signing Prime Minister Andrew Holness says this partnership is symbolic in regards to building strategic infrastructure. He notes partnership has put a spin on innovation. The Prime Minister also in his presentation dismissed the notion that the government is using the National Housing Trust (NHT) as a scheme to deprive the poor. Meanwhile Ashley-Ann Foster of ARC Properties Limited says the initiative is geared towards streamlining persons who are not part of the traditional housing system. Watch the full report below:
