Back to School Again, In the Physical Classroom

After almost two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is ‘back to school’ again for students across Jamaica, who returned to the physical classroom on Monday, March 7. The Ministry of Education is reporting a relatively smooth resumption, despite concern in some areas.

Principal of the Duhaney Park Primary, Colleen Reid-Grant says the school is off to a great start, as 94 percent of all the cohorts were present on Monday.  She says intervention mechanisms have been implemented to fill the learning gaps caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, as parents and teachers are elated for students returning to the physical classroom, she notes concerns regarding the upcoming Primary Exit Profile Pep (PEP). More details in this report:
