Bernard Lodge Demolition Victim Receives New Home

In October last year, numerous residents near Clifton in Portmore lost their homes. One of these affected individuals is Shaneil, who shared her story of significant loss with several media outlets. Shaneil Francis now wears a smile, a stark contrast to the tears shed a year ago when authorities demolished her under-construction home in Clifton, St. Catherine.

This all comes after she sent eight hundred thousand dollars to people posing as legal landowners for some lands in the area. But after saving, buying materials, and construction already underway, she watched her house being demolished. Today, her reality changed when she was gifted a house by Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
