Continued attacks on Beryllium vans have extended beyond St Catherine into St Elizabeth with another bold attack this afternoon. Despite their best efforts criminals failed in their bid to kill and plunder in the failed heist. The attack comes on the heels of the Police Commissioner lauding crime fighters in St Catherine for nabbing several suspects in connection with previous incidents.
The vehicle was peppered with bullets; however, the criminals were unsuccessful and fortunately, no security guards were harmed in the incident. The criminals were also left without a haul as the cash remained securely on board. This is the third attack on Beryllium vans in weeks.
The first incident in the Portmore Pines Plaza claimed the life of a security guard and left two others nursing gunshot wounds while the second also in Portmore left security guards with injuries. Watch the report:
