The much anticipated parliamentary address by Rwandan President, Paul Kagame on Thursday yielded several answers concerning his visit. Export, import, trade, and a raft of other benefits were highlighted. In addition, to outlining how this relationship will be mutually beneficial, President Kagame affirmed Marcus Garvey’s vision of a united Africa for the Africans of the world. He was speaking during a special sitting of the Houses of Parliament where Rwandan President Paul Kagame gave a presidential address.
The theme of unity was threaded in Kagame’s speech as he welcomed Jamaica as part of the African diaspora. Kagame nodded to the significance of Caribbean representation in the movement.
