Permanent Secretaries at MOE – The Blame Game

There was an uncomfortable exchange between the acting and former permanent secretaries in the Ministry of Education (MOE) during a sitting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on July 28.

The senior public officials gave their account of the issues of mismanagement and misuse of funds within the ministry.

Dr. Grace Mclean has been acting in the role of permanent secretary following the transfer of Deanroy Bernard in the midst of a financial investigation division investigation at the Ministry earlier this year.
