British MP Diane Abbott is in support of the measures taken to have former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson resign. She says he’s not a suitable leader and should have resigned a long time ago. The first black woman to become a British Member of Parliament, Diane Abbott, says she is in full support of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson‘s resignation. He resigned as conservative leader Thursday following a slew of resignations hours apart from several of his ministers. The resignations follow a series of scandals, the latest involving Former Government Minister Chris Pincher.
Abbott is in Jamaica for the annual People’s National Party women’s conference where she will speak on Sunday. She describes Johnson as untruthful; a trait she insists does not befit a leader. Though Johnson has resigned, he is still serving as the prime minister until a new conservative party leader is elected.
