Some two dozen displaced sugarcane workers and their families were forced to relocate over the weekend after movers from the Sugar Company Holdings of Jamaica (SCJ) allegedly demolished their houses for overstaying.
The former sugar cane workers say they feel betrayed, citing that alternatives provided by the SCJ are incomplete. Jamaila Maitland visited the area and files this report.
